Thanksgiving With Loved Ones
Thanksgiving is such a wonderful time of the year. You look and see what all you are thankful for and how the Lord has blessed your life. My life has been blessed so much this year. I thank to the Lord every day for what he has given to me and my family. Alissa has been my greatest blessing this year. She has been my little bundle of joy. I could not ask for a more precious gift from God. She is almost 11 months old on the 1st and growing like a weed. She is about 19 lbs and 28 inches tall. She is trying her best to walk, but not getting to far with that. Be sure to view our pictures on my dad website.Well, this Thanksgiving was one of the best. We went to North Carolina to visit my family. It was so great to see everyone. I had not seen most of them since I was married. Which was 2 1/2 years ago. I tell you do not ever try to buy clothes for kids that you have not seen in 2 years. Big mistake, the clothes will not fit them. I will remember that for next time. We all had a great time. Matt went hunting and fishing with papaw and the guys while me and the gals went shopping and got our nails done. It was wonderful to spend time with family. It went by way to fast. But we are looking forward to going back in February.
We hope that you have a Merry Christmas and may Jesus be the center of your celebration.

Family Update!!
A lot has gone on this past month. We had the honor of my parents coming down for a visit a couple of weeks ago. I really do miss them so much. We had a great time while they were up. Of course they were excited to see Alissa. We just got her pictures back a couple of weeks ago and they were beautiful. I just love her smile. Of course I did not order enough. We are so blessed with such a wonderful daughter. She means the world to Matt and I. She is already 15 lbs and 25 1/4 in tall. She is already moving around everywhere. She wants to totally skip the whole crawling thing and go straight to walking. She is already pulling up on things. My dad told me it goes by fast. But I thought I would never believe it, until now. She is already 6 months old and saying da-da which is not fair. We are working on ma-ma!! Thanks to everyone for all that you have done for us.
I have a prayer request also. Please keep Matt's grandma, Betty in your prayers. She just had a quadruple heart by-pass on Monday. She is doing well but still in pain.
I hope everyone is doing well. I hope to see you soon.

Answered Prayer!!
Our prayers have been answered. Matt and I bought a new car this weekend. Of course it was not in the plan to buy Saturday, but we did. We were really blessed with a great deal. We bought a 2003 Malibu. I am so happy that it has windows that work and a CD player. Now Matt and I are saying can I please drive instead of I do not want to be seen in that car. Now we just hope that we get a huge raise.
Well I hope everyone is having a great summer. It sure is hot here. We are lucky to have it under 90 here. Here is a little something that I had thought might help some of you this summer to beat the heat.
1. Refresh your mind by reading the “Good News”
2. Face the billowy breeze of the Holy Spirit.
3. Swim continually in God’s love.
4. Shower yourself with God’s beautiful blessings.
5. Drink from the springs of living water that will quench your thirst forever.
6. Keep cool and calm in the middle of an argument.
7. When you receive lemons, make tasty lemonade.
8. Break the ice with someone with whom you are holding a grudge.
9. Create a pleasant climate in your home where joy can grow.
10. Splash on all God’s great gifts and become a sweet smelling fragrance.
I love you all and hope you will be refreshed this summer!!

Our 2nd Anniversary

Well, can you believe it, two years have gone by for Matt and I. This Monday we celebrated our 2nd Anniversary. I am blessed that God has gotten us this far. We have had many ups and downs, but with the help and prayers from family and friends we have made it. I love my husband so much, he means the world to me. He has been my best friend for the past four years. He has given me the greatest blessing, my baby girl Alissa Grace. She has made me so happy. Every morning I wake up to a smiling face that adores me so much. She makes my day everyday. Thank you Lord for this priviledge in my life.
My anniversary consisted of so much. My husband took me to the greatest place to eat, The Texas De Brazil. Boy, was it great. You pay one flat price and they bring you 14 different cuts of meat and plus you get salad and soup. It is all you can eat and it was. I really enjoyed it. We also watched a movie and just enjoyed each others company.
Matt, I love you so much. Thank you for the two years you have given to me. I hope and pray that we will have many more happy years together. Thank you for all that you do for our family.

God's Blessings
God sure has been great to me. I have had such a great week. God seems to bless me and my family so much. Last Friday I spent some much needed girl time with with one of my friends. Khristi. We had a girls night out. We had so much fun. I went swimming, which has been about a year since I have. It sure felt great. And since that night I have gone almost everyday since. On Saturday we were blessed with wonderful weather. We had a very properous yard sale. Alissa was wonderful. She loves being outdoors. Of course she did not sleep much, but she slept well that night. Sunday was even better. The pastor had a wonderful sermon and we got news of another prospect for the pastor. Our church is in the process of finding another pastor. We hope to find someone that can help the church grow and do the work of the Lord. Please keep Grace Free Will Baptist Church in your prayers.
The rest of the week has been going real well. Tuesday, Mary, Alissa, and I went shopping which is always fun when you have money. While we were in Bath & Body Works Alissa was playing and I started to make her laugh and just would not stop. She was so cute. She was laughing so much her whole body moved. It was wonderful. We had so much fun!! Well, I hope that you all have a great weekend ahead. May God Bless You!!

Happy Memorial Day!!

It has been so great having the 4 day weekend. We had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend. On Saturday, Matt, his dad, brothers and I went fishing at Glen Springs Lake from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. We caught 95 fish. It was so wonderful to enjoy God's creation out on the lake that day. I am amazed everyday how awesome God's creation is. That each animal was made for a purpose. Although I am not quite sure why he made mosquito's or bugs. Of course they have their purpose somehow. I also got a really bad sunburn even though I applied sunscreen three times. It really hurts today. But all in all I had a wonderful time with my family. Today I got to spend some much needed time with my husband and daughter. I even got up and fixed him sausage gravy and biscuits. He sure appreciated that. Then we went over to his parents house and had BBQ ribs. It was great to spend time with Grandparents, Parents, Matt, and Alissa. I also want to thank all of those who have served and are serving our country. May God's blessings be with you and your families.

Greatest Shows on Earth
Well for those of you who watch American Idol, How do you feel about Taylor winning? I still wished that Katherine won. She has such a wonderful voice and attitude. This week all of my shows have ended and my what endings did they have. It seemed that they all left us going to another place. - - - 24 left us going to China, CSI Miami left us going to Brazil, NCIS left us going to Mexico, CSI left us in the bedroom of Sarah and Grissham, man can you believe that, what an ending. I did think alot of Gil and the standards that he had.
Sorry what can I say I love Crime Investigation. Maybe someday I'll be in that field, if I ever get myself to go back to college.
